Abstract
Early Greek imports at Motya are represented from Euboean and late Geometric pottery. The analysis of some sherds of these productions gives the opportunity to reflect another time both on the relationship between Phoenicians and Greeks during the first decades of life of the island, and on the commercial role played by Motya in Mediterranean Sea routes during the second half of the 8th century BC
